Custom Items

From PokeResort ★ WIKI |

Besides the normal items that you would find through a Pixelmon journey, PokeResort also introduces special, modified, and custom items to enhance and provide the best playing experience, while making sure to merge them into a balanced and fun adventure. In this article, all the custom items encounterable by a player will be displayed, showing all the information needed so you can get a quick grasp of what PokeResort has to offer in this aspect and not get lost in the process.

General Information

Given that Pixelmon is a Pokémon centered mod, most of the custom items that PokeResort relies on affect Pokémon directly.

In the next sections you will find exhaustive data and descriptions about every single custom item available currently in PokeResort, and some little clues of upcoming items (although, for the last ones, only expect a brief outlining, since surprise makes the experience more amusing).

Eggs

Eggs are custom items that contain exotic and alluring kinds of Pokémon, not commonly or easily found in earlier stages of a Pixelmon journey. The Pokémon that lies sleeping inside is not predefined and is decided upon a random roulette-like pull when properly used. Contrary to what common sense might suggest, these eggs are not opened by hatching them or used by making other Pokémon wielding them.

To claim any of these eggs, the player needs to put them in their main hand, and then right-click them. This process will produce a spin, like a roulette, where a random Pokémon will be selected from a random pool of possible Pokémon.

In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all these eggs, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods.

Shiny Egg

SHINY EGG

A Shiny Egg is a type of egg containing a random Shiny Pokémon (including Legendary Pokémon among the Pokémon pool from which the final option is randomly chosen in the spin). Note that all the other parameters of the Pokémon will be random (IVs, moves, nature and ability) and that all Pokémon have the same chance of being chosen.

To obtain a Shiny Egg, the options are:

  • Voting (0.16% chance per vote).
  • Playtime reward for the 50 hours milestone (use /rewards to claim it!).
  • Reaching level 75 in the PixelScape Breeding ability.
  • Redeeming a Rare Key (approximately 9.17% chance to get one and 4.59% chance to get 2x Shiny Egg from it) or a Master Key (approximately 10.53% chance to get 2x Shiny Egg and 5.26% chance to get 3x Shiny Egg) in the Casino.
  • Purchasing them from the PokeResort Store or included in the purchase of a Donor Rank or a 4-Hours Legendary Booster.
  • Winning a Discord Giveaway.
  • From special events occurring in holidays and festivities and other kinds of contests.

Beast Egg

BEAST EGG

A Beast Egg is a type of egg that contains a random Ultra Beast Pokémon. Note that all the other parameters of the Pokémon will be random (IVs, moves, nature and ability).

To obtain a Beast Egg, the options are:

  • Redeeming a Rare Key (approximately 9.17% chance to get one from it) in the Casino.

Legendary Egg

LEGENDARY EGG

A Legendary Egg is a type of egg that contains a random Legendary Pokémon (any from the first to the seventh generation, including mythical Pokémon).

To obtain a Legendary Egg, the options are:

  • Defeating the Champion, located on Eternatus Eternamax, at the center of the Elite 4 Islands.
  • Reaching level 50 in the PixelScape Slayer ability.
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately 10.53% chance to get one from it) in the Casino
  • Purchasing the Master Rank or a Legendary Booster ۩ [12H] from the PokeResort Store.

Tokens

Tokens are custom items used for three purposes, depending on the type of token:

  • The first kind of tokens are used to modify specific features of a Pokémon of the player’s choosing, allowing to make them more suitable to the requirements and desires of its owner. These items have the ability of changing a wide arrange of attributes, both cosmetical and competitive, such as the IVs, the nature, the growth and turning the Pokémon to its shiny form.
  • The second type of tokens can be used for cosmetic purposes, such as placing a statue or NPC.
  • The third type of tokens are used to redeem a random reward from a pool of possible items.

The process of utilizing a token is quite simple:

  • For the first kind of tokens, you can right click the Pokémon that you wish to modify with the specific token in your hand and then, depending on the attribute or trait being changed, you will be able to choose which option you would like it to have.
  • If you are using the second type of tokens, you can right click the desired spot to place the statue or NPC.
  • Finally, in the case that you are using the third type of tokens, you can right click the token while having it in your hand to redeem a random reward from the pool of possible items.

In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all these tokens, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods.

Shiny Token

SHINY TOKEN

A Shiny Token is a type of token that will turn the chosen Pokémon to its shiny variant (right click the Pokémon to make it shiny). To obtain a Shiny Token, the options include:

  • Completing 75% of your PokeDex (redeemable in the /rewards menu!).
  • Reaching the podium of an Official PokeResort Tournament in any of the servers (all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place get 1x Shiny Token).
  • Redeeming a Rare Key (approximately 9.17% chance to get one from it) or a Master Key (approximately 10.53% chance to get 2x Shiny Token) in the Casino.
  • Purchasing them from the PokeResort Store or included in the purchase of Diamond Rank and above.
  • Winning a Discord Giveaway.
  • From special events occurring in holidays and festivities and other kinds of contests.

Nature Token

NATURE TOKEN

A Nature Token is a type of token that will change the nature of the chosen Pokémon to any other one selected by the player (right click the Pokémon to modify its nature). Unlike Mints, which change the nature only for battle purposes, a Nature Token will change the original nature, meaning that it will be passed off to the offspring for breeding purposes. To obtain a Nature Token, the possibilities are:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 75 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).
  • Winning a Discord Giveaway.

Growth Token

GROWTH TOKEN

A Growth Token is a type of token that will change the growth (size) of the chosen Pokémon to any other one selected by the player (right click the Pokémon to modify its growth/size). To obtain a Growth Token, the options are:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 75 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).

Silver IV Token

SILVER IV TOKEN

A Silver IV Token is a type of token that increases a chosen IV of a Pokémon by 10 (right click the Pokémon to boost one of its IV of your election by 10). Note that, unlike the Silver Bottle Cap, which modifies the IVs for battle purposes, the Silver IV Token will change the original IV, meaning that it will be passed to the offspring for breeding purposes. Another important detail to mention is that this token cannot be used on a Ditto since it would make getting perfect Dittos a trivial grinding process.

To obtain a Silver IV Token, the options are:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 150 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).
  • Redeeming the reward for the 1,500 hours of playtime milestone (use /rewards to claim 3x Silver IV Token!).

Gold IV Token

GOLD IV TOKEN

A Gold IV Token is a type of token that increases a chosen IV of a Pokémon to its maximum value, 31 (right click the Pokémon to boost one of its IV of your election by 31). Keep in mind that, unlike the Golden Bottle Cap, which maximizes all the IVs for battle purposes, the Gold IV Token will change one original IV of your election, meaning that it will be passed from parents to their offspring for breeding purposes. Another important detail to mention is that this token cannot be used on a Ditto since it would make getting perfect Dittos too simple.

To obtain a Gold IV Token, the options are:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 250 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).
  • Redeeming the reward for the 2,000 hours of playtime milestone (use /rewards to claim 3x Gold IV Token!).

NPC Token

NPC TOKEN

An NPC Token is a cosmetic and decorative type of token that allows the player to place a Pixelmon NPC on any desired location (right click the wanted spot to open the GUI to set your NPC up). When used, it will open a menu where the player can choose the type of Pixelmon NPC, either a Doctor/Nurse Joy or a Talk Man (chatting NPC), and then edit and customize its appearance and text.

Nevertheless, there is one restriction in the use of these tokens: they can only be used on land that the player is trusted in or has claimed as their own.

In order to manage or edit an NPC placed by a token, the player needs to press the Shift key and right click the NPC. This will display a GUI where the player can choose to edit or remove the NPC from its location, returning the NPC Token to them.

To obtain an NPC Token, the options are:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 150 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).
  • Redeeming the reward for the 750 hours of playtime milestone (use /rewards to claim 3x NPC Token!).
  • Redeeming a Rare Key (approximately a 9.17% chance of obtaining one from it)

Statue Token

STATUE TOKEN

A Statue Token is a cosmetic and decorative type of token that grants the ability to place a Pokémon Statue on any place the player desires (right click the wanted spot to open the GUI to set your statue up). It acts like a Chisel, which is only available in Creative Mode, but has only one use. When used, it will open a menu where the player can choose the Pokémon and its form that will be portrayed by the statue.

However, there are some restrictions in the use of these tokens:

  • The Statues can only be placed on land that the player is trusted in or has claimed as their own.
  • The Statues cannot exceed the entity size limit; in case the player would want to place a Statue that surpasses this restriction, the Statue would be removed, and the Token would be returned to the player.

To manage or edit a Statue placed by a token, the player needs to press the Shift key and right click the Statue. This will display a GUI where the player can choose to edit or remove the Statue from its location, returning the Statue Token to them.

To obtain a Statue Token, the possibilities comprise:

  • Purchasing one from the Hunt Rewards Shop for 250 Hunt Points (you can check it by using the /hunt command).
  • Claiming the reward for the 1,000 hours of playtime milestone (use /rewards to claim 3x Statue Token!).
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately a 10.53% chance of obtaining one from it)

To obtain a Booster Token, the options involve:

  • Staff only: Monthly kit.

Boss Tower Reward Tokens

1st-7th FLOOR REWARD

Upon defeating one of the Boss Tower NPC Trainers (one per floor, from the 1st to the 7th), the player receives a token corresponding to the floor’s boss they have beaten. These tokens grant a random reward from a pool of possible items grouped in a common theme, such as breeding items, megastones, casino keys, among others.

To redeem these tokens, the player needs to have the token in their main hand and then right click it. This action will open a roulette-like GUI, which will show a spinning animation for the random selection of an item. After this, the player will receive the corresponding item.

The possible rewards and their chances for each Floor Reward Token are:

Boosters

Boosters are custom items that enhance and improve the chances, speed and waiting time of certain events and processes that commonly occur in Pixelmon. Note that boosters’ effects are not exclusive to the player that used them in the first place, but instead are applied globally to the server it was redeemed in.

To use a Booster, the player needs to right click it while having it in its main hand, action that will activate the booster and its expiration timer.

If you wish to check for any activated boosters and the remaining time for them, you can use the /boosters command.

Another detail to keep in mind is that this sections only refers to boosters available for players to obtain. Boosters can also be activated by high-ranked Staff members, such as the owner itself or any Executive, in very rare and special scenarios, such as celebrations and festivities, event rewards, among others. Also note that the effects and nature of these boosters can differ from those available to players.

In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all these boosters, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods.

Legendary Booster

LEGENDARY BOOSTER ۩

A Legendary Booster is a type of booster that halves the waiting time between Legendary spawn attempts (and does not double the chance of a Legendary spawn). To check the timer of Legendary spawning attempts, use the /l command.

This kind of booster has two duration variants:

  • LEGENDARY BOOSTER ۩ [4H]
  • LEGENDARY BOOSTER ۩ [12H]

The obtaining methods comprise:

  • Purchasing them from the PokeResort Store (the LEGENDARY BOOSTER ۩ [4H] includes a Shiny Egg and the LEGENDARY BOOSTER ۩ [12H] includes a Legendary Egg).

Experience Booster

EXPERIENCE BOOSTER ۩

An Experience Booster is a type of booster that doubles the experience earned by a Pokémon (from any means, including candies). This kind of booster has four duration variants:

  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [1H]
  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [2H]
  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [4H]
  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [12H]

The obtaining methods consist of:

  • Redeeming a Booster Token (10% chance for an EXP BOOSTER ۩ [1H] and 10% chance for an EXP BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately a 3.16% chance to get an EXP BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Purchasing them from the PokeResort Store (EXP BOOSTER ۩ [4H] or EXP BOOSTER ۩ [12H]).

Shiny Booster

SHINY BOOSTER ۩

A Shiny Booster is a type of booster that doubles the chance of Shiny Pokémon spawning (from any means, including breeding, fishing, headbutting, and any kind of activity that ‘spawns’ a Pokémon), meaning that it would increase it from 1/4,096 (approximately 0.00024%) to 1/2048 (approximately 0.00049%). This booster stacks with other Shiny Pokémon chance enhancers, such as the Shiny Charm, Shiny Lures, and the Pixelmon Masuda Method (breeding Pokémon from different OTs will double the chance of the Egg to hatch into its shiny variant).

This kind of booster has four duration variants:

  • SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [1H]
  • SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [2H]
  • SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [4H]
  • SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [12H]

The obtaining methods consist of:

  • Redeeming a Booster Token (10% chance for a SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [1H] and 10% chance for a SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately a 3.16% chance to get a SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Purchasing them from the PokeResort Store (SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [4H] or SHINY BOOSTER ۩ [12H]).

Breeding Booster

BREEDING BOOSTER ۩

A Breeding Booster is a type of booster that halves the time required for eggs to be produced in the breeding process. Note that this does not affect the /breed cooldown time.

This kind of booster has two duration variants:

  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [1H]
  • EXP BOOSTER ۩ [2H]

The obtaining methods consist of:

  • Redeeming a Booster Token (10% chance for a BREEDING BOOSTER ۩ [1H] and 10% chance for a BREEDING BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately a 3.16% chance to get a BREEDING BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).

H.A. Booster

H.A. BOOSTER ۩

A Hidden Ability (H.A.) Booster is a type of booster that doubles the chance of any Pokémon spawns having hidden abilities, meaning that it would increase it from a 1/100 (1%) chance to 1/50 (2%) chance. This booster also stacks with Hidden Ability Lures.

This kind of booster has two duration variants:

  • H.A. BOOSTER ۩ [1H]
  • H.A. BOOSTER ۩ [2H]

The obtaining methods consist of:

  • Redeeming a Booster Token (10% chance for a H.A. BOOSTER ۩ [1H] and 10% chance for a H.A. BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).
  • Redeeming a Master Key (approximately a 3.16% chance to get a H.A. BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).

Boss Booster

BOSS BOOSTER ۩

A Boss Booster is a type of booster that doubles the chance of boss Pokémon spawns.

This kind of booster has two duration variants:

  • BOSS BOOSTER ۩ [1H]
  • BOSS BOOSTER ۩ [2H]

The obtaining methods consist of:

  • Redeeming a Booster Token (10% chance for a BOSS BOOSTER ۩ [1H] and 10% chance for a BOSS BOOSTER ۩ [2H]).

Hatch Booster

A Hatch Booster is a type of booster that halves the number of steps required to hatch an egg. To check how many steps are left to hatch the egg, use the /eggsteps # command, replacing the # with the position number for the desired egg (so, for example, if I have an egg in the third slot of my part, I will run the /eggsteps 3 command to check the number of eggsteps left for it to hatch).

Currently, the variants and obtaining methods for this kind of booster need still to be announced/released. For now, it can only be activated by high-rank staff members in very rare occasions.

Keys

Keys are custom items that allow the player to open a special and specific kind of crate from the Casino, depending on the type of key that is being used, which will grant a random reward from a themed pool of possible prizes (such as money, Pokémon, items, auras, among others).

To redeem a Key, the player needs to right click the corresponding crate with the Key in its main hand. After performing this action, a roulette-like GUI will be displayed, showing a spinning menu that will land in the randomly chosen reward from the randomly selected pool of possible rewards for that pull.

In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all the keys, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods. You can also check this information in the Casino article.

Dynamax Band

DYNAMAX BAND

The Dynamax Band is an special accessory required to Dynamax a Pokémon (which, if you are not familiar with this mechanic, allows the player to make a Pokémon grow into a giant form, giving it access to more powerful variants of its moves, the Max Moves, that also have secondary effects).

In order to obtain a Dynamax Band, the options consist of:

  • Purchasing it for 50 Battle Points in the Battle Tower rewards shop.
  • Purchasing it for 50 Hunt Points through the Hunt System.

Relics

Relics are items meant to be sold to shopkeepers in a normal Pixelmon journey. However, some of these items, such as the Relic Silver and Relic Gold, have been customized in PokeResort to serve the purpose of being sorts of ‘currency’ tokens, which are interchangeable for a fixed amount of a determined currency.

In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all the Relics, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods.

Relic Silver

RELIC SILVER

The Relic Silver is an item that has been customized to be interchangeable for $5,000 ResortCASH through the /sell system. To obtain a Relic Silver, the possibilities consist of:

  • Redeeming one for 100 Battle Points in the Battle Tower shop.
  • Leveling up the Farming skill up to 50 in the PixelScape skill system (you can get 3x Relic Silver this way).

Relic Gold

RELIC GOLD

The Relic Gold is an item that has been customized to be interchangeable for 175 Arcane ⚜ through the /gyms menu. To obtain a Relic Gold, the possibilities consist of:

  • Defeating our Gym Islands (use /warp gyms to visit them; gives you one per gym).
  • Defeating the Elite 4 Islands (use /elite4 to check them; gives 2x Relic Gold per Elite 4 member).
  • Leveling up your PixelScape skills, specifically after reaching level 25 of Slayer and level 50 of Smithing (use the /pixelscape commands to check the skills, your levels and rankings; gives 3x Relic Gold upon reaching these milestones).

Pick-An-Item

Pick-An-Item are custom items that, like the name suggests, allow the player to choose a specific item from a pool of possible ones. As of now, there are only two variants: the Pick-A-Stone and the Pick-A-Mint. In the upcoming subsections, you will find information for all these items, their description and utility, and finally, their obtaining methods.

Pick-A-Stone

PICK-A-STONE

Pick-A-Stone is a custom item that permits the player to select any desired Megastone. To obtain this item, the options involve:

Pick-A-Mint

PICK-A-MINT

Pick-A-Mint is a custom item that permits the player to select any desired Mint (an item that changes the nature of a Pokémon for battle purposes, meaning that only the stats will be affected, but the original nature will remain the same, so it cannot be passed to the offspring in breeding processes).

Badges

PLAIN BADGE

Badges are a simple kind of custom item that are used as the payment for Move Tutors (located in the Dojo) in PokeResort. These symbolic tokens cost $500 ResortCASH and can be purchased through the /badge menu.

Arcane ⚜

ARCANE ⚜

Despite not being an item, Arcane ⚜ is a core custom feature of PokeResort, since it is another type of currency commonly used. This custom currency is used to modify the variety of traits and attributes of the chosen Pokémon, meaning that with the right amount of Arcane ⚜, the player could be able to tweak certain aspects to match their objectives and purposes.

To access this Pokémon modification system and check the available changes, the prices and your Arcane ⚜, you can use the /arcane command. You can also review your Arcane ⚜ balance and other useful information, such as your playtime, ping, online players, among other data, by pressing the TAB ↹ key button.

Trivia

  • The falsification and fabrication of counterfeit custom items with the purpose of selling them maliciously is strictly forbidden and will be severely punished as a case of scam. For more information, read the Criminal Code.
  • Before, Shiny Tokens used to work in two different ways: the oldest version converted the first Pokémon in the player’s PC to its shiny form, and the next version transformed the first Pokémon in the player’s party to its shiny form. Given this scenario and since custom items are subject to eventual changes, it is always good to keep an eye on the Discord server announcements for the updates, and to carefully and thoroughly read the instructions and descriptions that appear in this type of items, as they mention the correct ways to redeem, claim and use them.
